It’s been a monumental year for us, and we’re thrilled to share exciting updates on the progress of The Coastal Trail. Formerly known as the Matakana Coast Trail, we’ve undergone a significant transformation, marking a new era for this beloved community project. The same charitable trust remains driving the project.

We are excited to bring you the latest Matakana Coast Trail Trust (MCTT) news and developments. With your continued support, we are making great strides toward creating a vibrant and connected trail network in the Matakana Coast region.

The last couple of months has seen trail construction progress ramp up another notch, which we are super excited about! We are currently reviewing tenders from numerous local business for our anticipated construction on two mini projects in February. We are bracing ourselves for an action­packed summer!
